It took a bit of a winding road to get here, with some lower seeds making incredible runs, but in the end we've got a chalk Final Four. All four No. 1 seeds advanced with ease yesterday, setting up a pair of epic matchups today.
Matchup #1 - "Toxic" def. "I'm a Slave 4 U", 69-31
For the longest time, I considered "I'm a Slave 4 U" my favorite Britney Spears song, but in recent years it's been surpassed by "Toxic." The funny thing is, the first time I listened to "Toxic," I wasn't a huge fan. It took a few months to grow on me, but once it did, it became an obsession. I think the changing of the guard happened in part because Britney's performances of "Toxic" at her live shows in recent years is better than the live performance of "I'm a Slave 4 U."
Let's check out the candidates' resumes (aka their music videos):

Matchup #2 - "...Baby One More Time" def. "Oops!...I Did It Again", 62-38
The Ellipses showdown! Despite coming out more than 15 years ago, these are still two of Britney's most iconic songs ... and videos. "...Baby One More Time" was her introduction to the world, and went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (though it only stayed there for 2 weeks). The album it led went 14-times platinum and sold over 30 million copies worldwide. Britney had a lot to do to top it with her next album, and she certainly put forth an incredible effort with "Oops!...I Did It Again", which stalled out at No. 9 on the Hot 100, but topped the charts in 16 countries. And at this point I'm realizing all these words are pointless because you're already watching the videos below. I don't blame you.
