Well, I haven’t really updated this since my last vacation back in the summer, so it seems appropriate that I’d finally get around to posting another update during this vacation.
Of course, I managed to wait until the 2nd-to-last day of my vacation before posting, but that’s besides the point (and while technically I don’t return to work until Tuesday, my vacation week ends on Saturday).
Of course, if you want to know what I’ve been up to of late, well, honestly, it’s been more of the same, though things are definitely looking up at work.
On the personal life side of things, again, it’s more of the same. I still live by myself in Manchester, I’m still single, and I’m still very obsessed with Buffy. My living room gets more and more Buffy-centric on a daily basis (check the Buffy section for extensive updates -- and I have been keeping that section up-to-date throughout the past few months).
Other things that have happened in the past few months that you might have missed:
• I got a Nintendo Wii. Actually, this doesn’t cover it. I camped out overnight at Target with Pooz and Will to get a Nintendo Wii on launch day. Geoff and Henze were there for part of the night, but they left early since they weren’t buying the system. I’ve been pleased with my purchase so far. Wii Sports is lots of fun, Zelda is great and having access to some of those classic games is incredible (I’ve been playing way too much “Ice Hockey” for NES).
• I continued writing my comic. Pooz is taking his sweet time drawing it (and to be fair, the art SHOULD take a lot longer than the writing. I can always go back and change dialogue later. He can’t really change the look of a character once it’s on paper). I’ve written about 15 issues. Hopefully Pooz will finish drawing the first one soon so we can have something to show you.
• I got a new couch. I know this doesn’t seem like a big deal, but I finally ditched the futon (or, more accurately, moved it to the basement). Now my living room feels like a real living room, not some upscale dorm common area (plus it helps that I replaced the cheap coffee and end tables I had with a nice set from Ikea).
• I’ve collected a whole bunch of Spider-man comics. I don’t have any section on the site for them, like I do with the Buffy and Angel comics, but I’ve got a bunch of older issues, including Amazing Spider-man #121 (pictured above).
Well, um, that’s it for now. I know I suck at following through when I do this, but I’m going to try and post again this weekend, because I want to talk about the ‘06-07 TV Season, and I want to give that its own post.
